El Soul estilo musical propio de la poblacion anfroamericana de EEUU dado a finales de los 50, conviertiendose a lo largo de los años en estilo mas influyente de la música contemporanea de todo el mundo, proviene de la fusion de estilos anteriores como el gospel y el R&B de 1950.

Palabras de Peter Guralnick critico musical : "El soul es la expresión de la solidaridad negra, del orgullo de una nación que deseaba terminar con los siglos de segregación y quienes encontraron en estos cantos los fines prácticos para reclamar su identidad y espiritualidad.”

El Rock and roll es un genero musical derivado de una mezcla de diversos géneros del folklore norteamericano, rhythm and blues, country , western.....y que empezó a aparecer allá por los años 50, Los adolescentes de la época buscaban sonidos y sensaciones nuevas y era la primera vez que una música se dirigía directamente a ellos.

curiosidades: se rodaron muchas escenas al aire libre algo que no era habitual pero que le dio mas dinamismo y vida a la pelicula.Tanto la música como los numeros musicales son sensacionales.

Cantando bajo la lluvia esta considerada como una obra maestra del cine musical, del año 1952 , destacar que la pelicula es un ejemplo del éxito del cambio del cine mudo al sonoro. He buscado una de las escenas mas memorables en la que Gene kelly baila debajo de la lluvia.

curiosidad:Durante el rodaje de la escena de claqué en la lluvia Gene Kelly estaba enfermo, tenía la friolera de 40º de fiebre. al estar así no podía bailar con la fuerza suficiente para que sus pasos sonasen bien en cámara así que al mismo tiempo que el bailaba lo hacían al lado de la cámara dos bailarinas simultáneamente y también sobre un charco para que diera el pego.

Géneros musicales: Swing

El swing es un estilo de musica , de tipo orquestal dentro del género musical Jazz que empezó a aparecer en el año 1929. He buscado a una de las mejores voces del jazz, Ella Fitzgerald conocida como la primera dama de la cancion y famosa por su ejecucion perfecta y scat( cantar sin letras fijas) dentro de su amplio repertorio musical se encuentra el swing y la cancion Mack the knife, cancion originaria de 1928 compuesta para el music drama " la opera de los 3" por kurt well y letra de Bertolt Brecht.
Ella la versiono en 1960 dentro del album "Ella in Berlin" y por el que ganó un premio grammy.

Para inaugurar este blog y esta seccion dedicada a los años 80 he elegido a Bonnie tyler con Total Eclipse of the heart .
Single del disco ""Faster Than the Speed of Night"de 1982 disco que se convirtió en número uno en todo el mundo.
curiosidad: Bonnie Tyler se convirtió en la primera mujer en lograr que un álbum llegara directamente al primer lugar en el Reino Unido, con todo y récord Guinness.
“Total Eclipse of The Heart” le valió la nominación al Grammy como mejor cantante femenina y el disco al de mejor álbum, ambos premios fueron para ella.
