De las cosas que mas te recuerdo de cuando era niña era el placer al escuchar música. Mi padre enchufaba su tocadiscos, ponía su disco de vinilo ,cerraba los ojos y se dejaba llevar por las letras y melodias de las canciones, siempre me decia "sientate y escucha lo que dice esta cancion", todas ellas siempre llenas de poesia , que es como a él le gustaban.

Hace poco tiempo me pidió que le regalara un disco de su cantante favorita, a mi es de lo poco que él escuchaba que bueno, me aburria, y le comentaba burlandome " pero como puedes escuchar eso " siempre me burlaba de él "pero papá que nos vamos a quedar dormidos" pero el cerraba los ojos y susurraba cantando, tenía muy buen oido y afinaba pero no tenía voz.

La primera vez que la escuché fue en la versión de Natalie cole, no la he podido encontrar interpretada por ella, pero encontré una de Donna Summer que tambien es fabulosa.

Es un genero musical derivado del jazz, gospel y el blues y mas conocido como "musica negra norteamericana".Fue en la decada de los 50 donde se desarrolló principalmente. Para representar este Género musical he elegido a un grupo muy conocido "The platters", grupo musical formado en el año 1953 y compuesto por cuatro hombres y una mujer y la cancion "Only you" una de mis favoritas.

El Soul estilo musical propio de la poblacion anfroamericana de EEUU dado a finales de los 50, conviertiendose a lo largo de los años en estilo mas influyente de la música contemporanea de todo el mundo, proviene de la fusion de estilos anteriores como el gospel y el R&B de 1950.

Palabras de Peter Guralnick critico musical : "El soul es la expresión de la solidaridad negra, del orgullo de una nación que deseaba terminar con los siglos de segregación y quienes encontraron en estos cantos los fines prácticos para reclamar su identidad y espiritualidad.”

Pare representar este estilo , tenemos a James Brown apodado con el sobrenombre the godfather of soul( elpadrino del soul) y considerado como uno de los pioneros de este género y la cancion "try me " fué el numero 1 en 1958.

El Rock and roll es un genero musical derivado de una mezcla de diversos géneros del folklore norteamericano, rhythm and blues, country , western.....y que empezó a aparecer allá por los años 50, Los adolescentes de la época buscaban sonidos y sensaciones nuevas y era la primera vez que una música se dirigía directamente a ellos.

curiosidades: se rodaron muchas escenas al aire libre algo que no era habitual pero que le dio mas dinamismo y vida a la pelicula.Tanto la música como los numeros musicales son sensacionales.
